God of our ancestors, we give thanks for those who have gone
before us, who have sown love with their tears that we might reap
a joyful and bountiful harvest. You have indeed done great things
for us, and we are filled with gladness and joy. May their faith
inspire us to honor their legacy and continue prepare and plant
our own seeds of love, for the sake of Jesus the Christ, who
continually calls us to be bread for the world. Amen.
