The Day-Before-Thanksgiving Dinner![]() Contributed By: Linda FawxOn Wednesday November 26, 2006, we will again open the doors of Goethe Hall to serve a holiday meal for the needy of our neighborhood. We have served over 600 meals in the past, and we need to be ready. Start planning an extra turkey (35 are needed!) or pies or green beans or stuffing. Do you want to help that day? Over 100 volunteers are needed. We do ask that children bring their grown-ups with them. Please see the form below, fill it out and return it to the church. Monetary donations are also gladly accepted. Please call the church office or Linda Fawx (448-4795) with questions. We also need volunteers for jobs to be done in the weeks before the dinner—getting fliers out, calling volunteers, making table decorations etc. On the day of the event, more than direct table service is needed. So, think creatively on how you can serve and let us know: call, email or send in the form. -- ___ Turkey I can give money: $______ I can help: ___ Set-up (8:30 a.m.—10:00 a.m.) Name: |
