Luz Miranda’s passion and patience is teaching foreign languages. She started at age 13 teaching English to younger kids who wanted better grades at school. Later, before graduating from college in her homeland, Lima-Peru, she was awarded a Diploma in Pedagogical Sciences by the US-Binational Center in Lima-Peru, where she also taught children, teenagers and adults for some years. When she graduated from college, she received a scholarship from Goethe Institut in Germany to study German in Munich.
“I have really enjoyed the Spanish Academy. Professor Miranda immerses you into using new words as quickly as possible, and includes interesting facts about countries, customs, and families as you learn the language. I wanted to take Spanish so I can converse with people here in California as well as on hoped-for travels to Spanish-speaking countries. I highly recommend the Spanish Language Academy.”
