What do you do here at St. John’s?

Work on thematic content for special church seasons (Advent, Christmas, and Lent); Coordinate programming across ministries; Assist with special events; Assist the pastors and senior staff with other projects as they arise.

June 2005

What is your favorite food?

Ice cream. I truly, deeply love ice cream.

What is your favorite movie?

Love Actually

What was your childhood ambition?

To be a tap dancing nurse.

What is your favorite Bible story and why?

I love the story of Ruth. She is loving and loyal. And I have a very dear friend named Ruth who is the loving and loyal friend in my life.

On Maternity Leave

Sometime in the next few weeks I will be headed off for a few months of maternity leave. Our first child is due to arrive soon, and my husband and I are so thankful that the people of St. John’s provide me with this time to bond as a family.

In my absence, my colleagues will be pitching in to cover my responsibilities. And since I will be returning to work in a part-time capacity after my leave, we are hiring a new Children’s Ministries Coordinator.

Help Us Keep Our Children & Teens Safe

In July 2009, the Church Council approved a new Child and Youth Safety Policy. Our old policy had been on the books for ten years without revision, and the revision process was led by a dedicated and hard-working group of parishioners. Familiar Faces in New Roles

Akaloo for Ages 0 – Grade 8

Stop by the Akaloo desk on the 2nd floor of the Education Building. Jennifer Johnson, our Akaloo Coordinator, will help you find the right class.

High School Service (Grades 9-12)

Meet up with Darren Zinzer, our Youth Director, and help with Cafe Rwanda, the youth service project on Sunday mornings. All proceeds from Cafe Rwanda help to support the medical clinic in Mumeya, Rwanda.
