Biography:
I am a native Sacramentan - born and raised in an Air Force family in the northeast side of Sacramento. I was baptized and confirmed at Advent Lutheran Church in Citrus Heights. I spent 12 years working as an attorney in Sacramento, but I felt a strong call to ministry. Finally, in 2002 I was ordained and installed at Advent Lutheran Church in Citrus Heights. In 2007, I accepted the call to serve as St. John's Associate Pastor and Director of Outreach and Service.

Both before and after becoming a pastor, I have been involved in serving those in need in our Sacramento community. For six years I served on the Board of Directors of St. John's Shelter Program for Women and Children, serving two years as Chair of the Board.

My passion is sharing with all what I have experienced myself - God's loving, gracious and forgiving ways. This message of hope and love resides at the center of my experience. It is the message that revives us all. Flowing first from Christ, through us to midtown and all areas of Sacramento, this is our calling - and it is my specific call of leadership here at St. John's.

What is your favorite Bible story and why?
In Acts, after Paul (then known as Saul) is confronted by the risen Jesus, he is struck blind. Later as he begins to understand the significance of this encounter, it's written that something like scales fall from his eyes and he sees again! That is our opportunity too - to see everything with new eyes after our encounter with the risen Christ.
