Sunday School

Do you Akaloo?

Are you wondering what that means?

We believe that nurturing and teaching young disciples and their families is one of our most important responsibilities.

We believe that God wants us to be a congregation which, by passion and example and commitment, raises up all our children, adolescents, and young adults, to become healthy, giving, and faith-filled servant-leaders in the world.

We believe to accomplish this mission we must offer a vibrant and enthusiastic Sunday School program which encourages our children to explore their faith through Bible study and discussion, art, dance, and music.

And that’s where Akaloo comes in. It is an exciting new program created by Augsburg Fortress, the ELCA publishing house. The name is inspired by the Greek word akolouthein (“to follow”). Jesus said to his disciples, “Follow me. Drop your nets. A new life awaits you.” Akaloo is based on that simple call to discipleship.

Sunday School begins in September and runs through May. Check back soon for information about our new program.
