Weddings at St. John's
The remodeling of our sanctuary is progressing well. We are now accepting dates for weddings beginning July 1, 2008 and no more than 12 months in advance.

Marriage is a holy estate, ordained of God, and to be held in honor by all. Thus, when the Church is asked to perform the Rite of Marriage, it does so in the awareness that the couple is seeking the blessing of God upon their life together.
The joy of the marriage ceremony is reflected in the prayers, praise, and thanksgiving of those who come together for this occasion.
The following information is provided to assist in making your wedding a beautiful and joyful celebration which will reflect upon the sanctity of the marriage covenant.

- Member and Non-member weddings are welcome
- A minister of St. John's will officiate at the wedding service
- Male and female ordained ministers officiate at weddings
- Lutheran marriage ceremony is observed
- Organist provided by church and will approve all music selections
- Attendance at one pre-marital class required of all couples
- Follow up pastoral conference(s) required
- Church is available to you for 1 1/2 hours prior to the wedding time

Please contact the Wedding Coordinator, Lynda Maloney, 916-930-0914, for available dates, times and complete fee information.
The standard fee for a wedding at St. John's is $1,525. This is an inclusive price that provides for the use of the church, the pastor, the organist, the wedding coordinator, the rehearsal, custodial services, a pre-marital workshop, pre-marital counseling with the officiating clergy, and a unity candle. We require a deposit of $500 of which $400 is refundable if the wedding is cancelled more than 6 months prior to the wedding date.
