St. John's is an inclusive congregation of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America, whose diversity is reflected in its various styles of worship. We worship as a  congregation on Sundays and special days of the church year.


Sunday Worship Opportunities

We celebrate Holy Communion at each service.

8:00 a.m. -- Contemplative Worship

This service uses a traditional litugy interspursed with reflective music. 

9:15 a.m. -- Traditional Worship

This worship service is a hallmark of St. John's high church liturgy with congregational singing, pipe organ, sacred choral music, handbells, and a variety of soloists throughout the church year. Liturgical settings are diverse and are chosen from the new Evangelical Litheran Worship hymnal.

10:30 a.m. -- Misa Hispana

Este servicio de Santa Comunion domincal esta dirigido a la comunidad hispana de Sacramento, como un espacio para compartir el evangelio y adorar a Dios en idioma Español.   Visite nuestra pagina web.

11:00 a.m. -- Radio Broadcast

Tune in to AM 1430 KJAY, Sacramento, to hear the 9:15 am worship service.

11:30 a.m. -- Contemporary Worship

This worship service uses a variety of contemporary liturgical sources. Piano, guitar, and song leaders lead the congregation in worship.

5:00 p.m. -- FLOW: Find - Love - Offer - Worship

A multi-sensory experience with God at the center of our attention. Through video, music, prayer, conversation and connection we experience the flow of the Holy Spirit and God's abundant love in our lives. Let the river flow!

Scripture Readings

Nursery Information -

The NURSERY is available on Sunday mornings, Wednesday evenings, and during various church activities. 

Children ages 6 weeks to 4 years old are welcome to come and play!
