Galatians & Christian Freedom (Wednesday study)
Time & Location
About the Event
This four-session meeting, led by Bob Huckfeldt, builds on material taken from the Book of Faith series from Augusburg-Fortress Press. It focuses on Paul’s letter to the Galatian Church. In his letter, Paul articulates the good news that we have been set free from our own efforts at becoming self-justified by obeying rules, winning social acceptance, and living up to social expectations. Instead our freedom is anchored in God’s free and loving gift, and that makes all the difference.
We will work through Paul’s argument to the Galatians in four Zoom sessions.
Outline: 1. The danger of jumping through hoops. Galatians 1:1-24. (October 28)
