We have areas where everyone, from all walks of life, can serve. If you have any questions about any of these fields please let us know.
The different areas where you may wish to serve are organized into specific groups. We hope that you will be able to find a ministry in which you can best use your talents. Don't see what you're looking for? Please contact us and let us know where you'd like to help!

The mission of this ministry partner is to provide free, wholesome, and fresh food to people who are unable to maintain a constant supply of food due to low incomes, fixed incomes, or homelessness. This is done in a calm and welcoming atmosphere at multiple sites around the city.
St. John’s has meaningful connections with Rwanda, including The Rwanda School Project, exchange visits, a sister Parish, and Girls Faith Encounter. Recently, our connections have become less concrete. If you are interested in joining a task force to re-imagine our connections in Rwanda, please let us know!
Saint John's Program for Real Change
The Saint John’s Program for Real Change was born at St. John’s Lutheran Church in 1985 to provide emergency shelter to homeless women and children sleeping on our steps. We continue to support it through our prayers, gifts, and service, including preparing meals, volunteering in the office, delivering goods, working in the children’s center, mentoring mothers, and organizing the donation center.
