Beloved St. John’s family,
After serving as your Organist for the past 14 years, I have made the difficult decision to depart St. John’s, depart Sacramento, and return to my home country of Canada this fall.
This decision did not come lightly, as I have loved the community I’ve shared and the life I’ve built here in Sacramento. Worshipping alongside this faith community every Sunday, leading hymns with the help of the beautiful Bedient Pipe Organ, hosting organ concerts with colleagues throughout Northern California, and singing alongside talented musicians in the Choir. My time at St. John’s has been inspiring and impactful, and I walk away with deep gratitude for you all.
As many of you know, California has become my home away from home after departing Canada years ago. However, with ongoing immigration complications and my aging parents thousands of miles away, I desire to be close to my family in Montreal.
My departure date is a bit up in the air, but will be sometime early November 2025.
My years at St. John’s have been some of the most fulfilling and enriching of my life. Working alongside Steven, Pastor Frank, Pastor Jon, Eliseo, various soloists, and the church’s choirs has brought me great satisfaction and joy. I feel that St. John’s truly “lives Gods love in the world” and I am proud to have served as your organist.
I look forward to our final months together and much more shared music!
Ryan Enright
