Clothing & Toiletry Drive
May 4-18th from 9:00am-5:00pm in the St. John's Office
St. John's high schooler, Bella Manley, is carrying out her Girl Scouts Gold Award Project this May. In partnership with Midtown HART, Bella is organizing a Clothing & Toiletry Drive to directly support our unhoused neighbors in need.
From May 4-18th between 9:00am-5:00pm in the St. John's office, you are invited to donate new and gently used men's clothing and toiletries. Help us support Bella and our neighbors in need!
Sunday School Spring Showcase

All are invited to celebrate the end of the Sunday School season with a Spring Showcase! Come hear more from our Sunday School kiddos about what they've learned this past year, hear a few songs from the Youth Choir, and help us celebrate the many volunteers who served throughout the school year.
Bible Games!

Join us for the first-ever (potentially annual) Bible Games Competition! This will be a morning of exciting Bible games, quizzes, and competitions suitable for all ages. River Float with St. John's Young Adults
Sunday, June 8 at 12:30pm at Ancil Hoffman Park
Kick-off the warm summer months with fellow young adults at St. John's with a River Float! The group will gather at Ancil Hoffman Park to drop off cars and then head to Sunrise Recreation Area to begin the float.

Sacramento PRIDE Festival & March

The 2025 Sacramento PRIDE Festival and March is just around the corner! As usual, St. John's will participate in Saturday and Sunday's Festival, along with Marching on Sunday. This is a family-friendly festival and a great opportunity for all community members to learn more about and support the LGBTQ+ community.

The LLL Book Club will gather in June to discuss the book James by Percil Everett. "The novel is a re-imagining of Adventures of Huckleberry Finn by Mark Twain but told from the perspective of Huckleberry's friend on his travels, Jim, who is an escaped slave." Come join the conversation!

Mt. Cross Day Camp: Word of Life
July 28-August 1 from 9:00am-3:00pm at St. John's Lutheran Church
Registration for Vacation Bible School is LIVE! Camp Counselors from Mt. Cross Ministries will lead this year's VBS - themed "Word of Life". Open to youth in grades Kindergarten-5th, with volunteer opportunities for middle and high schoolers, campers will participate in music, bible studies, crafts, games, and so much more. Admission is $60 for campers & $20 for youth helpers and includes snacks and a t-shirt for the week.
